Solar to Heat

NUCAP’s surface enhancement increases efficiency of both types of solar thermal collectors: air-based and hydronic-based. In air-based thermal collectors, NUCAP’s material outperforms high absorption TiNOX material under identical conditions. High-efficiency collectors can collect enough thermal energy to cover the heating needs of a building. In hydronic-based thermal collectors, we use a combination of micro-channel flow pattern with enhanced heat exchange surfaces. This combination outperforms the efficiency of contemporary solar thermal collectors.

Solar to Power and Heat

Surface enhancement increases heat recovery in hybrid photovoltaic-thermal collectors. Cooling photovoltaic panels enhance the efficiency of electricity generation. Recovered heat is then used for the thermal needs of a building.

Thermally Active Cladding
for Buildings

This material is perfect for thermally active building cladding, providing supplementary heating and cooling of the interior of a building. NUCAP’s surface enhancement fully integrates thermal collectors/dissipators into a building's envelope, making the system totally ‘invisible” to a passerby.

Waste
Heat Recovery

Our solutions recover waste heat from gases, as well as from liquid and solid sources. The heat recovery systems use GRIPMetal-based composites of different materials to reduce costs and increase efficiencies of the heat recovery process.

Fighting Pandemics (Current and Future Ones) by Retrofitting our Buildings with High Efficiency Ventilation Systems and Hydronic Heating

Properly built air-flow systems for public buildings (offices, schools) and private dwellings are a low-tech approach to fight the current and future pandemics. These systems should prevent cluster infections to allow people to safely work and learn in large groups in one room.

Currently most of the buildings in North America use hot air to heat the interior. All toxins, bacteria and viruses are just being spread by the hot air circulating inside the buildings. Hydronic heating in tandem with proper ventilation and heat recovery systems are positioned for the future vast market demand for retrofits.
